The Freedom to Vote and Fair Elections Act
Elections are how the country fires officials who fail it — the accountability mechanism every other reform depends on. When seats are bought or districts are pre-decided, that mechanism stops working. Our democracy shouldn’t be for sale, and every vote should count equally.

- Automatic voter registration and same-day registration
- Ranked-choice voting for federal elections (vote your conscience without “spoiling”)
- Public financing for Congressional campaigns (small-donor matching)
- Disclosure requirements for political spending (follow the money)
- Independent redistricting commissions (end gerrymandering)
- Restore Voting Rights Act protections
- Make Election Day a holiday
- Federal Deliberative Council: Statutorily establish representative Citizens’ Assemblies—panels of randomly selected citizens convened to study complex issues (like healthcare or taxes) away from media noise, with Congress required to vote on supermajority recommendations.
