We achieve energy independence while rebuilding the American industrial base.
What it includes:
- Grid Modernization: A unified, national smart grid with new high-voltage transmission to distribute renewable energy across state lines efficiently — and harden it against blackouts, cyber attacks, and wildfire.
- Storage and Transmission Finance: Federal financing for utility-scale batteries and long-duration storage, plus permitting reform to actually build the transmission lines we need.
- Resilience Threshold Mandate: We won’t decommission legacy energy until our domestic green supply chain (like rare-earth minerals) is secure from foreign monopolies. Defense Production Act used to rebuild U.S. processing capacity.
- Nuclear-to-Energy Conversion: Turning excess nuclear weapons material into clean, carbon-free civilian energy fuel; small modular reactors at decommissioned coal sites.
- Green Industrial Zones: Revitalizing former coal, oil, and manufacturing towns by building new factories for solar, wind, battery, green steel, and hydrogen — with wage parity for transitioning workers.
- Energy Efficiency at Scale: Whole-building retrofits, heat pumps, and federal building electrification — the cheapest unit of clean energy is the one you don’t have to generate.
- Methane and Industrial Emissions: Satellite monitoring of oil and gas leaks, electrification of industrial processes, and a carbon border adjustment that levels the playing field for U.S. green manufacturing.
